Core Concepts Covered: What is Escrow/Settlement? A neutral third party (escrow agent) holds funds/documents (like the deed) for buyer/seller until all contract conditions are met, then distributes them to finalize the sale. Key Players: Buyer, Seller, Escrow Holder/Agent, Lender, Title Company. Escrow Holder's Role: Ensures all purchase agreement stipulations are met, manages the closing process, handles earnest money, and disburses funds correctly.
